For any of you who aren’t familiar with the show, Dexter is about a serial killer of the same name, who works by day as a forensic analyst for the Miami police department, and by night, cleansing the city of the evil criminals who slip through the cracks of our faulty judicial system. Every serial killer has to keep his mementos and Dexter’s trophy case, consists of a box of slides, each containing one drop of blood from each victim.

Biohazard Blood Slides

I grew up in a college town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we opened the door expecting to see trickortreater—but what was in front of our open door—was another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said “Please knock.” So we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of college dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, etc, who proceeded to coo over our “costumes” and tell us we were “such cute trick or treaters!” One even pinched my cheek. Then THEY gave US candy, closed their door, picked it up and walked to the next house. MLIA

Make a gift bow from a magazine page

In gift wrap emergencies when you've got the present but need some wrapping, here's an idea for turning a magazine page into a bow. (There may be better ways to stick this thing together, but I used what I had on hand: staples and adhesive glue dots)

Cut a magazine page into 9 strips, 3/4" wide. Leave 3 of the strips full length. Cut one inch off 3 of the strips. Cut two inches off 2 of the strips. Cut the last strip down to 3 1/2" long.

Twist each strip to form a loop at both ends and staple it in the center. Shape the last, short strip into a circle and secure it with a glue dot.

Layer the 3 longest pieces on top of each other, spacing them evenly and securing each with a glue dot. Add the next two groups of pieces, doing the same. And finally, stick the loop into the center.

I ALWAYS smile nicely and wave in a sheepish manner whenever a female does anything to me in traffic

here's why

I drive 48 miles each way every day to work

There are 7 cars every 40 feet for 32 miles

982 cars every mile

figure I pass at least another 4000 cars

Statistically, half of these are driven by females

18,000 women drivers

In any given group of females, 1 in 28 has PMS

That's 642

70% describe their love life as dissatisfying or unrewarding

22% of all females have seriously considered suicide or homicide

That's 98

34% describe men as their biggest problem.

That's 33

According to the National Rifle Association, 5% of all females carry weapons

EVERY SINGLE DAY, I drive past at least one female that has a lousy love life

has seriously considered suicide or homicide

has PMS

and is armed

Flip one off?

I think not.
