Mexico City is the largest city in the world. It was built on the site of the
ancient city of Tenochtitlán. Tenochtitlán was built in 1325 by the Aztecs. It
was destroyed by the Spanish when they conquered Mexico. Hernando Cortez first
entered the Valley of Mexico in 1519. With fewer than 200 soldiers and a few
horses, he conquered the Aztecs. In 1521 the Spanish destroyed the city of

This development represented the peak of technology in World War II.

The secret wartime project that developed the bomb was called by the code name the Manhattan project. It had nothing to do with Manhattan.
Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are now statistically tied with McCain, suggesting the Arizona senator may be benefiting from the drawn out Democratic primary race.

In the latest survey, Clinton holds a 48-45 percent lead over McCain while Obama and McCain are even at 45 percent. This fight between Great Britain and its thirteen colonies was the result of years of growing conflict. After the French and Indian War that occurred between 1754-1763, the British government began requiring the colonies to pay higher taxes. Over time, protests and conflict led to a tightening of control by the Mother Country. Beginning with the fighting at Lexington and Concord in April 1775, open warfare broke out.

<clipSource>http://americanhistory.about.com/od/warsanddiplomacy/u/warsandevents.htm</clipSource>

Top Ten Geniuses

clipped by: chris49
clipper's remarks: Have the first of the ten, find out the rest by looking up the website at listverse.com

Clip Source: listverse.com

Top 10 Geniuses

10. Madame de Stael was a French-Swiss woman of letters, political propagandist, and conversationalist, who epitomized the European culture of her time, bridging the history of ideas from Neoclassicism to Romanticism. She also gained fame by maintaining a salon for leading intellectuals. Her writings include novels, plays, moral and political essays, literary criticism, history, autobiographical memoirs, and even a number of poems. Her most important literary contribution was as a theorist of Romanticism. Madame de Stael is on an equal level with René Descartes but I chose to include her rather than him in order to put at least one woman on this list.

<clipSource>http://listverse.com/entertainment/top-10-best-bug-movies/</clipSource>
