On Sunday, Aaron Klein and John Batchelor interviewed Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas, on WABC radio. The interview produced a scoop which, for some reason, has not been widely publicized: Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama for President. Yousef said, "We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election." Why? "He has a vision to change America." Maybe Yousef has some insight into what Obama means by all these vague references to "change."

The connections to radical Islam are seemingly endless, on this; just in this article alone there is a lot.

Barack Obama’s campaign website has been hailed as a testament to the candidate’s transformative politics. But at least part of the senator’s online outreach, “Muslim Americans for Obama ’08,” proposes installing Muslim prayer areas in public places and giving Muslims time off for prayer and has denounced Obama’s colleagues in the U.S. Senate who happen to be Jewish. This segment of Obama's online outreach also has ties to unindicted co-conspirators in terror trials and has recruited Obama supporters from among the ranks of fundamentalist Muslim extremists.

clipper's remarks: It's interesting how many of these organizations are connected with radical Islam. CAIR went after Andrew Whitehead, the head of ANTI-CAIR, in a lawsuit, but the lawsuit was dropped because discovery documents would have exposed their financial and other ties to Hamas.

Palestinians in the new Islamic State of Gaza, crying out for more aid from the United Nations, are turning to United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for help. Their reliance upon UNRWA comes as no surprise. The organization has been providing food, medicine, and social services to the Palestinian people for 57 years. Unfortunately, UNWRA has never taken steps to withhold assistance to extremist groups. In some cases, it has cooperated openly with terrorists. Today, as UNRWA provides assistance in Gaza, it is directly providing financial and material support to the Hamas terrorist organization.

On Sunday, October 14, 2007, Six Flags Over Texas, a Dallas-area amusement park, will be invaded by a radical Muslim organization that has physical ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and financial ties to Hamas. While most patrons of the park come for the games and rides, those involved with this group’s event, Muslim Family Day, may very well have found an original and appealing way to spread anti-Western hatred.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, North America’s foremost Islamist group, bills itself as a “civil rights organization,” suggesting it maintains high standards of decency and morality. But, as I personally can attest, it fails abysmally to do so. Its seven-year-long campaign against me has included misappropriation, misrepresentation, misquotation, defamation, and inaccuracy, prompting one writer recently to compare its propaganda with that of Nazi Germany.

Joe Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young just had a very bad week. It started with his failed attempt to help a group of Consistently Arrogant Islamic Radicals (CAIR) threaten and intimidate leaders of the Young America’s Foundation (YAF) into relinquishing their First Amendment Rights.

Specifically, Sandler failed in his efforts to stop YAF speaker Robert Spencer, author of “The Truth about Muhammad,” from publicly criticizing CAIR at an annual conference for students in Washington, D.C. After publicly displaying his shortcomings – as an attorney and as an American - Sandler is now threatening me with federal criminal prosecution.

Three of the organizations identified on the list were noteworthy, as they are, and have been for years, major components of the Muslim American community. Two of the three, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) are intimately connected. [The other org is CAIR.] But the group that was responsible for their existence was nowhere to be found on the list.
