Dsquared2 He Wood ~ fragrance review

He Wood’s woodland is dreamlike, impressionistic — all aromas are pale, blurred, and watery. He Wood, no matter its name, is not about pungent wood — the fir accord and cedar wood are barely noticeable on my skin. He Wood provides a new take on “wood” — its smooth, bleached woods float on sweet, cool, lightly flower-scented water.

He Wood does not provide moments of shock or awe; its notes blend together seamlessly. He Wood has excellent lasting power and is great for days when you want to smell good but don’t want others to notice the fragrance you are wearing (unless they get really close); it can easily be worn by women.

Tags: fragrance, perfume, scent

<clipSource>http://nowsmellthis.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2008/1/9/3456154.html</clipSource>

Economic slowdown in different markets

clipped by: bkuba

Clip Source: www.heise.de

<clipSource>http://www.heise.de/tp/r4/artikel/28/28516/28516_1.jpg</clipSource>

Global Economic Slowdown

clipped by: bkuba

Clip Source: preview.factiva.com.ezproxy1.lib.ou.edu

World Economy Shows New Strain --- European Output Shrinks, U.S. Inflation Jumps; Fresh Worries in Developing Nations

The global economy -- which had long remained resilient despite U.S. weakness -- is now slowing significantly, with Europe offering the latest evidence of trouble.

On Thursday, the European Union's statistics agency said gross domestic product in the euro zone contracted 0.2% in the second quarter, the equivalent of a 0.8% annual rate of decline. P&G maintained ad spending as a percent of sales for its fiscal year ended June 30, and plans to do so again in the current fiscal year.

P&G spent 10.4% of sales on advertising, as it had the year before, said Clayton Daley, the company's chief financial officer, on the company's quarterly earnings conference call. Dior Beauty is getting a piece of the rock — rock ’n’ roll, that is. The brand has hired Harley Viera-Newton as its house DJ. In this new role, Viera-Newton will create playlists inspired by Dior Beauty’s seasonal color collections, consult on product launches and host and DJ events for the brand.

Viera-Newton, a British native who grew up in Los Angeles, plays bass for the band Lissy Trullie and has gained a following as a DJ at New York’s East Village bar Lit. In addition, she currently studies Egyptology and social sciences at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.

Incense and wood used to be dark, forbidding, sawdust, stone butch. No more. Recent releases have modulated the juice in this genre to a mellower tone that is succulent and fascinating. I have been wearing Estee Lauder Sensuous, Chanel Sycomore, and Jo Malone The Kohdo Wood Collection. Also in rotation are the masterful and mysterious Bulgari Black and Serge Lutens Five O'Clock au Gingembre. Stay tuned for my notes on these and other fragrances in this constellation.

Proximity by AXE fragrance reviews: Amber, Bergamot & Vetiver

Proximity Bergamot smells like a typical sport fragrance; it begins with that familiar cold, metallic bergamot note we all know so well, then it goes into fresh musk-light wood territory. Proximity Bergamot is not unpleasant and it smells no less expensive than sport fragrances costing 10 times more that you’ll find at Nordstrom or Macy’s (in fact I find it just as wearable as Chanel Allure Homme Sport for one!) Since AXE is certainly making a profit with their $5 fragrances, we know we’re not paying for the bottle contents of designer fragrances of this type, don’t we?

Of the three AXE Proximity fragrances, Bergamot is the best, Amber is an average drugstore/discount fragrance and Vetiver is a nightmare. (After smelling Proximity Vetiver, the strong “teen” AXE scents smell downright pleasant.) All three AXE Proximity fragrances have decent lasting power but are not overpowering; they stay close to the body.

Tags: fragrance, scent, review

<clipSource>http://nowsmellthis.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2008/8/8/3827436.html</clipSource>

Airlines in crisis (in german)

clipped by: bkuba
clipper's remarks: Marktentwicklung der grossen airlines

Clip Source: www.tagesschau.de

"Depressive Marktlage" für Europas Fluglinien

Jeder vierte Sitzplatz blieb leer

Europas Fluggesellschaften fehlen Passagiere.
