I’m using a service called Feedity to create custom RSS feeds for websites that offer none. I suppose the best way to explain how this service works is by providing an example. I have selected the latest software releases from Betanews as the example. No feed is offered for this section which displays a list of the latest updated applications.

We have to take a look at the source code of the Betanews website to find out where the releases begin and where they end. This will be the section that is observed in the feed. The feed will be updated whenever something changes in this block.

The important aspect is to find unique start and end blocks. that enclose the area that you want in the RSS feed.

Red meat and alcohol are major cancer causes

Millions of people are at risk of getting cancer unless they slash levels of alcohol and red meat in their diets, medical experts have warned in a landmark study.

People must be leaner, take more exercise, eat more whole foods, virtually cut out alcohol, consume less red meat and eat no bacon or ham at all.

A panel of 21 world experts spent five years evaluating what increases the risk of cancer and what decreases it based on an in-depth analysis of 7,000 cancer studies from around the world dating back to the 1960s.

After smoking, obesity is the most important risk for developing cancer and it is thought one third of the 300,000 cases of cancer in the UK every year are linked to diet.

Excess body fat can cause six different types of common cancers, including those affecting the breast, bowel and pancreas.

Yahoo! Messenger! 9! beta! released!

Yesterday evening, Yahoo! released a public beta of Messenger version 9. This version of the IM client includes some welcome cosmetic updates along with many less visible back-end changes.

Also of note, a tasty photo-sharing tool which integrates with Flickr, courtesy of my esteemed colleague Ryan Doherty.

Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 Beta includes plenty of other features which you can discover by perusing various posts around the web or by downloading the client for yourself (requires Windows 2000 or later).

clipper's remarks: Few days ago, I was reading a book in which the author's friend stated that since the death of John Kennedy, USA was no longer a democratic country, as the CIA and a very powerful group of people took over the control in the US, and commited crimes like killing Kennedy the president.

Does make sense along with Prison Break series, The Shooter movie, and US political views in following years to Kennedy's death...

Iran Labels CIA 'Terrorist Organization'

TEHRAN — Iran's parliament voted Saturday to designate the CIA and the U.S. Army as "terrorist organizations," a largely symbolic response to a U.S. Senate resolution seeking a similar designation for Iran's Revolutionary Guards.

The parliament said the Army and the CIA were terrorists because of the atomic bombing of Japan; the use of depleted uranium munitions in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq; support of the killings of Palestinians by Israel; the bombing and killing Iraqi civilians and the torture of imprisoned terror suspects.

Iran and the U.S. have not had diplomatic ties since Iranian students took American diplomats hostage in Tehran following the 1979 overthrow of U.S.-backed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

Iranians have a long list of grievances against the United States, including a CIA-backed coup in 1953 that overthrew democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh and put Pahlavi back on the throne.
