In Islam the Quranic term of giving thanks is "Shukr", the recognition of a favor and its acknowledgement. It is mentioned several times in the Quran, and all Muslims are required to apply this attribute of giving thanks in their daily lives.

Tags: holiday, islam, thanksgiving

<clipSource>http://www.connectionnewspapers.com/article.asp?article=335430&paper=62&cat=110</clipSource>

Obama didn't like 'V' storyline....gets writers FIRED

clipped by: leevardi

Clip Source: www.rumormillnews.com

Wow at first I was going to call this a rumor ....but it IS NOT, writers for the show V fired because of omamba

I heard this on Mancow's show this morning and thought this had to be a farce/BS that obama caused the writers to be fired from the show V and I couldn't wait to get home to check this out for myself.....

Smith had strived to answer that call for much of his life.

He had trained with Zen masters in Japan, camped with aborigines in Australia and dropped peyote with Native American shamans. Scientists have warned that growing tendency to medicate against sadness like
a disease stops us embracing our miserable side and removes the motivation
 to mature emotionally.

Like the saying "what does not kill me, makes me stronger", being
sad and melancholic can leave sufferers better able to cope with life's
challenges, more resilient and spur them to greater achievements, it is
 claimed.

The researchers point out that today's society prizes personal happiness above
all else and there is little tolerance for wallowing in despair after losing
a job, the break-up of a relationship or the death of a loved one.

But a growing number of mental health experts fear the increasing tendency to
take a pill to beat the blues could actually affect human evolution.

And fulfill every covenant. Verily, you will be held accountable with regard to the covenants. This film tells the story of a new generation of young Muslim Kashmiris who, after years of armed resistance, decided to lay down their arms and start a nonviolent resistance movement in the hope of finally achieving peace and independence.

Tags: kashmir, documentary, udi aloni

<clipSource>http://www.kashmirthefilm.com/index.html</clipSource>

In San Antonio, Muslims stand with the massacre victims

clipped by:
