after on the personality market.

Tags: fromm, love, production-consumption ccycle, cultural values, self-other

<clipSource>http://www.philosophicalsociety.com/Archives/Love%20&%20Its%20Disintegration.htm</clipSource>

Know your Angels...the Good...the Bad...the Ugly.

clipped by: hipster
clipper's remarks: Read this entire article by going to the page. It is a very good article on what angels really are and are not, what they do and do not do, why they are here, what they mean to God and to us, and also includes some good warnings about the modern day angel groupies who are writing books about them.

Clip Source: www.newswithviews.com

BEWARE OF ANGELS FROM THE DARK SIDE

Angels

elect holy angels are mentioned by name in the Bible: Michael and Gabriel.
Also mentioned is the Angel of the Lord, the archangel (Michael), the
Captain of the Host, messengers (Gabriel appeared to Mary), guardians.
The fallen angels mentioned are the angel of the Abyss (Destroyer), and
of course the most notorious angel of all: Lucifer. Scripture tells us
very little about angles, except that they are sent to do God's bidding.
Most people know the story of the angel of the Lord who appeared to Mary
and announced that she would conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit
and give birth to the Savior. "The virgin will be with child and
will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means,
        "God with us" (Matthew 1:23).

What
does the Bible say about angels?

Angels are personal
spiritual beings, having aspects of intelligence, emotions, and will.
This is true of both the good and evil angels. Angels possess intelligence
          (Matthew 8:29; 2 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:12), show emotions (Luke
2:13; James 2:19; Revelation 12:17), and demonstrate that they have
wills (Luke 8:28-31: 2 Timothy 2:26; Jude 6). Angels are spirit beings
(Hebrews 1:14), with no true physical body. The fact that they do not
have bodies does not affect their being personalities (any more than
          it does with God).

Avenging

Day's approaching. God's angels will announce His impending judgments

message from an angles is, 'Don't be afraid, everything is fine. There
is nothing but love' are in gross error. Though angels are loving and
do bring comfort to the people of God, they also bring messages of death,
destruction, and judgment to those who reject Christ."[2]

He was 84.

Offstage, he was famously chatty. "Never get a mime talking. He won't stop," he once said.

A French Jew, Marceau survived the Holocaust - and also worked with the French Resistance to protect Jewish children.

Marceau, in turn, inspired countless young performers - Michael Jackson borrowed his famous "moonwalk" from a Marceau sketch, "Walking Against the Wind."

Tags: entertainment, mime, stage, french, emotion

<clipSource>http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/09/23/entertainment/main3289048.shtml</clipSource>

RIP: film director Michelangelo Antonioni

clipped by: Mohir
clipper's remarks: 2 great directors on the same day

Clip Source: www.boingboing.net

RIP: film director Michelangelo Antonioni

The 94-year-old director died in Rome on the same day as Ingmar Bergman:

(1887-1940), who promoted the Universal Negro Improvement Association
(UNIA) in the 1920s. The organization's main goal was to unite black people
with their rightful homeland, Africa. Garvey believed that all black people
in the western world should return to Africa since they were all descended
from Africans. He preached that the European colonizers, having fragmented
the African continent, unfairly spread the African population throughout
      the world.

After spending nearly a decade in the United States
and Great Britain, Garvey returned to <A target?_blank?="" href="http://www.jamaicans.com/">Jamaica in 1927, where
