That hasn't been the case for years, certainly not since 1990, when the Department of Agriculture drew up its official guidelines for organic food.

I'm saying to the religious far right: If we are defending Western civilization, as you claimed in the incursion into Iraq, then you'd better realize it's much more than Judeo-Christianity and the Bible. You'd better get real and accept that we have a Greco-Roman tradition of literature and art that started in 700 BC. And yes, some of it deals, quite frankly, with sex and the body; you must deal with it and allow students to deal with it, because that is part of the brilliant strength of our arts. I'm demanding that conservatives support the arts and that liberals stop being so snobby about art and quit celebrating art that is simply cheap sacrilege of other people's beliefs.

The computer-generated image of the main suspect in Madeleine McCann’s abduction is said to be so vague it resembles an “egg with hair”.

Simon Russell, 40, who runs a video store and internet café in the resort town, said: “They just showed me this outline which apparently gave me the impression that it had high cheekbones and a long face but other than that, no eyes, no nose, no mouth. . . . It was an egg with hair.”

Ever notice how most Mac users are skinny? It's because of all the calories they burn because they can't shut the fuck up about how great their Macs are. What is it about Apple that makes its users unable to shut their mouths? Everywhere I go, there's another asshole with a Mac preaching about how much better Macs are than PCs. They regurgitate lines directly from Apple's marketing campaign, like "it just works." I have the following rebuttals to this argument:

Hmm... but those hooks are positioned rather, er... prominently, aren't they? That bear definitely has a reason to grin, you could say he's um... bursting to meet you.
