The idea is to beam up more microwaves than can be found concentrated in vast magnitudes beyond anything found in nature, just to see what'll happen (duh) and to see if it can be used to fight missiles, zap the earth for oil and maybe even modify the mental, emotional states of masses of people.

In the video documentary, be sure to check out the dumb-ass expressions on the lead scientist's face when he's asked about the threats in this clip's title.

A project brought to you by the US Air Force, HAARP is sited in Alaska, so they can be as close as possible to the lowest points in the earth's atmosphere, as evidenced by the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). Part of the project involves try to lower that part of the atmosphere even more.

Clip Source: h0lug.sourceforge.net

When will anyone out there writing about global warming learn about the HAARP program?
Tania Derveaux represents NEE, an "impartial protest movement running for senate in the Belgian elections of June 10 2007", which "offers voters in Belgium the option to vote 'NEE' if they find that none of the parties deserve their vote".

According to Ms Derveaux, she originally pledged to create 400,000 jobs as a "response to incredible claims that were made by other parties in Belgium". This prompted wags to demand 400,000 blowjobs, which Derveaux has wisely reduced to 40k.

Still, by her reckoning she'll still have to suck like a good 'un for 500 days, servicing 80 hardened NEE supporters a day. We'll save you the trouble: if she puts in a seven-hour shift at the coalface, that means one punter every five-and-a-half minutes - without the benefit of a tea break.

Tags: politics, belgium.pr, bizrre, funny, web, second life, register

<clipSource>http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/05/18/belgian_election_campaign/</clipSource>

Doctors Are The Third Leading Cause of Death in the US, Causing 250,000 Deaths Every Year

clipped by: admarshall
clipper's remarks: No-one need ask me any longer why i don't trust medical professionals.

Clip Source: www.chattanoogahealth.com

This information is a followup of the Institute of Medicine report which hit the papers in December of last year, but the data was hard to reference as it was not in peer-reviewed journal. This is news indeed. Todd Bishop has the story. Eben Moglen is saying that the SUSE vouchers Microsoft is distributing have no expiration date! I didn't know this. It's huge. This is, according to Moglen's remarks, another defense to any patent infringement claim by Microsoft, and it may well bring that campaign to a screeching halt.
Here's why. Someone, Moglen says, is bound to turn a voucher it got from Microsoft in after GPLv3 goes into effect and GPLv3 code is being distributed, and at that moment Microsoft comes under its terms. And that should mean the end of Microsoft's ability to successfully sue anybody over its alleged patents allegedly in Linux, or to phrase it more exactly, it provides a probable defense to all Linux users and vendors, not just Novell's paying customers, if Microsoft does sue.

Tags: microsoft, linux, opensource, patents, funny, dumbass, legal, novell, moglen, groklaw

<clipSource>http://www.groklaw.net/article.php?story=20070518124020691</clipSource>

Not news: The Bud beats best and worst pharmaceuticals

clipped by: admarshall
clipper's remarks: Only thing that surprised me: the Bud beats Prozac and Zoloft, too.

Clip Source: www.salem-news.com

May-17-2007 13:56

It was also better than the Valium-like tranquilizers, such as Xanax, and Ambien, etc. and even the anti-depressants, such as Elavil, Trazadone, etc. and the really heavy anti-depressants, such as Prozac, Zoloft, etc.

Another, almost strange, report was that it was preferred to Aspirin and Tylenol, etc. because it worked faster with no stomach or liver damage

Tags: society, cannabis, marijuana, medical, politics.drug war, bud

<clipSource>http://www.salem-news.com/articles/may172007/leveque_marijuana_51707.php</clipSource>

God's Death: Kurt Vonnegut Has Left the Planet

clipped by: admarshall
clipper's remarks: God has really died this time.
