Without help the person whose heart stops beating properly and who begins to feel Faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating.

The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and George asks him his name. “Stanley,” responds the little boy. “And what is your question, Stanley?” asks ol’ Dubya.

“First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?”
“Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?”
“Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?”
“Fourth, why are we so worried about gay-marriage when 1/2 of all Americans don’t have health insurance?”

Just then, the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess. When they resume George says, “OK, where were we? Oh, that’s right question time. Who has a question?”

Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and asks him his name. “Steve” the kid responds. “And what is your question, Steve?” el presidente asks.

“Actually, I have 6 questions” the kid responds.

There's no question: Gazing at large breasts makes men healthier. Our study indicates that engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of stroke and heart attack in half." said Weatherby, who even recommended that men aged over 40 should spend at least 10 minutes daily admiring breasts sized "D-cup" or larger.

She said that this was as healthy as going to the gym for 30 minutes daily and prolonged a man's life by five years.

Clip Source: news.softpedia.com

10 Minutes Of Staring at Boobs Daily Prolongs Man's Life by 5 Years...

A German research published in New England Journal of Medicine said that men staring at women's breasts in fact prolong their lives with years.

"Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female such as Baywatch actress Pamela Lee is equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out," said author Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist.

The team led by Weatherby was made up of researchers at three hospitals in Frankfurt, Germany, and found this results after monitoring for 5 years the health of 200 male subjects, half of whom were asked to look at busty females daily, while the other half had to abstain from doing so.

For five years, the boob oglers presented a lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and decreased risk of coronary artery disease.

Tags: man, health

<clipSource>http://news.softpedia.com/news/10-Minutes-Of-Staring-Boobs-Daily-Prolongs-Man-039-s-Life-by-5-Years-72490.shtml</clipSource>

Pinch Your Nose and Lose Weight

clipped by: aliciaf
clipper's remarks: Quite interesting...and free.
And it seems like it might actually work.

Clip Source: www.thatsfit.com

Daily Fit Tip: Pinch your nose and lose weight

I just read in Men's Health magazine that if you pinch your nostrils for 10 seconds, you'll curb your cravings. Since your stomach signals hunger and your brain signals 'cravings' ... this ancient Chinese acupressure point will help you pass on the doughnuts. In all of my years teaching fitness I've never heard such a thing, but you never know. Right? At least this strategy doesn't cost anything.

I personally imagine that the act of pinching, not picking, my nose for 10 seconds on purpose would simply distract me from anything else in the world I may have been focusing on, including food. So maybe the practice will work, because it seems so silly. My only non-Chinese or ancient advice is to do it with a tissue.

Tags: <a Number 9. Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Number 8. Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an
erection, make him a sandwich.

Number 7. Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to
use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

Number 6. Some people are like a Slinky ... not really good for anything, but
you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

Number 5. Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying
Of nothing.

Number 4. All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention
to criticism.

Number 3.
Why does a slight tax increase cost you $200.00 and a substantial tax
Cut saves you $0.30?

Number 2. In the '60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world
Is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

Tags: top ten, thoughts, funny

<clipSource>http://boortz.com/more/funny/10_thoughts_for_2008.html</clipSource>

Faking happiness leads to depression

clipped by: m_a_d_d_i_
clipper's remarks: So much for the idea of smiling as inducing a good mood

Clip Source: www.smh.com.au

<HEADLINE _moz-userdefined="">Secret to a long life - get even more often</HEADLINE>

PEOPLE who smile a lot and say "have a nice day" are headed to an
early grave while the grumpy stay fit.

Researchers at a German university - a land where surliness is an
Olympic discipline -say enforced jolliness on the job is much more
likely to make people fall ill.

They cite flight attendants, sales personnel, call centre
operators, waiters and others in contact with the public for
extended periods of time as being at risk of seriously harming
their health.

Psychologists at Frankfurt University said the fake friendliness
led to depression, stress and a lowering of the immune system
itself, which in turn can trigger more serious ailments.

"Every time a person is forced to repress his true feelings there
are negative consequences for his health," said Professor Dieter Zapf, a
researcher into human emotions.

The study tested students working in an imaginary call centre who
were subject to abuse from clients.

Some of the participants were allowed to answer back, while others
had to be polite and friendly all the time.

Those who stood up to clients had a rapid heartbeat for a brief
period, but for those who had to remain friendly their heart was
still racing long after the client had hung up.

The conclusion reached by the psychologists was that "being
friendly against one's will causes nothing but stress".

Tags: emotion, happiness, health, depression, customer service, retail, smiling

<clipSource>http://www.smh.com.au/news/seniorshealth/secret-to-a-long-life--get-even-more-often/2006/03/21/1142703333722.html</clipSource>

Sleeping naked is better for you!

clipped by: countryboylife

Clip Source: sleepnaked.org

Comfort and health

Not only is sleeping naked more comfortable, but it's good for your health too. Increasing your level of comfort makes it easier for you to relax and sleep, so you get a better night's kip. The resulting deeper, longer sleep makes it easier for your body to regenerate and repair itself, and build up your energy for the day ahead.

Sexual benefits

If you sleep with a partner, being naked heightens the level of intimacy between you, and you are likely to have sex more often. You may also feel closer to your partner as a result of sleeping naked with them

Work and lifestyle benefits

If you find yourself tired in the morning or during the day even though you've had at-least eight hours sleep, you may only be sleeping lightly for that period of time. As mentioned earlier, sleeping naked allows your body to relax more immediately, and you are more likely to fall into a deeper sleep more quickly and wake up refreshed.

Tags: sleep, health, relationships

<clipSource>http://sleepnaked.org/</clipSource>

Want to feel fruity? The news this week that scientific studies show that the herb echinacea really
does fight colds came as no surprise to Jayney Goddard, the editor of Complementary
and Alternative Health

Goddard discovered many other treatments supported by scientific evidence,
which she shares with us below.

1 VITAMIN C FOR INCREASED LIBIDO
