The work could lead to the creation of new drugs that take advantage of properties of cell organization to prevent the development of diseases.

"Many scientists are trying to understand cells by turning off genes, one at a time, and are observing the effects on cell function, but we're doing the opposite," said Associate Professor of Chemistry Christine D. Keating, who led the research. "We're starting from scratch, adding in components to find out what is needed to simulate the most basic cell functions.

This new structure exhibited the type of complexity that the team had been looking for; it exhibited polarity. "Polarity is critical to development,"

Tags: biology, cell biology

<clipSource>http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/05/080515171023.htm</clipSource>

Free Ebook “The Photoshop Anthology”

clipped by: Djiezes
clipper's remarks: (first edition: August 2006)

Clip Source: www.tipandtrick.net

Download Free Ebook “The Photoshop Anthology”

Clip Source: www.tipandtrick.net

This free Photoshop Book is free to download for 30 days.

If users refuse to register their emails with Sitepoint in order to avoid spam mails or promotion ads, etc. users can download a high-resolution copy of the book in PDF format (file size:64MB) via the link here. Or for the bandwidth conscious, here’s the link for a low resolution copy (file size: 23MB).

The Photoshop book offered by SitePoint of course is not the latest copy. Nevertheless, it is still very useful and most of the guidance and tips showing in the book still apply. Since it is free, users can just download it to enrich and enhance the photo editing experience.

Tags: free, pdf, photoshop, design, book, ebook

<clipSource>http://www.tipandtrick.net/2008/download-free-ebook-the-photoshop-anthology/</clipSource>
