A bit of darkness helps with this - so pull the curtains or wait until night. Put the camera on the tripod and aim the camera a distance back from your background - ensure it is the only thing in shot.

Place the incence stick in a jar on a plate (to avoid the ash dropping on anything that could burn - ) - place it between the camera and the background. Focus on the end of the incense stick and then move the camera up so the stick is not in shot - once focused, set the camera to manual focus. Light the stick and wait for the smoke trails to start.

Hold the flash so that it fires upwards (or through) into the smoke - not at the background and (of course) not at the camera. f5.6 and shutter speed of around 1/100th sec are good settings to use and just snap away. Holding the flash will allow you to find the best angle to illuminate the smoke trails. Getting the flash as close to the smoke is key as it really makes it shine.

During George W. Bush's fourth term as president, the administration's desire for crises and predisposition toward fuck-ups leads to the creation of a zombie virus that the government hopes will help replenish troops for its various overseas conflicts.

Infected women become super-strong and maintain their intelligence, but the men remain your typical, shambling, mindless undead.

So when the virus leaks into a strip club, the place becomes the most popular illegal joint in town.

inspiration from Eugène Ionesco’s ever-relevant absurdist play “Rhinoceros,” it’s full of jabs at the Bush administration and philosophy references — for starters, Jenna Jameson, as the first stripper to succumb to zombification, reads and quotes Nietzsche.

Epidemic of Self Harm in Children

A third of UK girls aged 11 to 19 have tried to harm themselves, a survey for a mental healthcare provider suggests.

More than half of the 800 young people said they knew someone who had self-harmed - either through cutting, burning or punching themselves.

The main reason given was feeling depressed, with the results among boys being slightly lower at 22%.

Marjorie Wallace, chief executive of the mental health charity Sane, said

"Evidence from our own helpline suggests there is a growing epidemic of self-harm amongst our young, who are using ever more extreme ways to find release from their mental turmoil.

"It is an addictive and desperate way of dealing with the stresses of growing up.

"It is essential that the rising number of young people who self-harm are helped to stop before it develops into what may become a life-long illness."

1. Seek humility first

If you feel stuck in your spiritual search, set aside the search for God per se and seek humility instead. The importance of this step cannot be overstated.

2. Go on a cynicism fast

Commit to a period of time during which you'll fast from all sources of cynicism: give up watching TV shows and reading websites that make jokes at other people's expense (even if it's about celebrities or politicians)

3. Read the great Christian authors

While a transformation of heart, a turning of the soul toward God, is the most critical step in opening ourselves to God, it's also important to realize that seeking God does not mean setting aside logic and reason

4. Do the experiment

I believe that God's existence can be "proven" in a certain sense, as long as you understand that God = Love, and what you're trying to prove is Love itself.

5. Pray frequently

This is by far the post important step.

The bottom line is this: seek, and you shall find.
