clipper's remarks: Sometimes the worst case scenario occurs. Here's an example of just that. If you're not aware, Stein's movie, Expelled, conflates evolution with Nazi's and death camps. Of course, by doing so he demonstrates his utter lack of understanding of both subjects but this doesn't seem to matter to him one way or the other. Pretty despicable.

Ben Stein's lying propaganda

On 18th April, the day Ben Stein's infamous film was released, Michael Shermer received the following letter from a Jew

Now I truly understand who you atheists and darwinists really are! You people believe that it was okay for my great-grandparents to die in the Holocaust! How disgusting.

Shermer wrote to Mr J to check whether his letter was indeed prompted by the Ben Stein film, and he received this reply:

Yes I have. You know, I respect you as a human being and you have done great work exposing psychics and frauds, but this is a very touchy issue that affects me and family emotionally. Our family business was affected because of Auschwitz because now, our family has nothing. It is gone. Things began to make sense once I saw the movie and I am just appalled. I have learned a lot from Ben Stein, a Jewish brother, who has opened my eyes up a bit.

There is a contradiction in Professor Michio Kaku's appearance, as if he had been drawn by a composite artist, based on the memories of an unreliable witness. It is to do with the smoothness of his skin being at odds with the silver hair that flows down to his shoulders. The latter reflects his age, 61; the former suggests he is a teenager.

That answer would have been true to form. Prof Kaku has a gift for communicating complex scientific ideas in a way that lay people can understand. He argues, moreover, that good physics should be simple, so simple that it can be understood as an image. I'll let him explain. 'A good physicist is driven by a childlike fascination and imagination. If we find ourselves getting jaded or bored we have to try to recapture that childishness. Einstein used to do that. He could be quite childish. He wanted to get access to that feeling of wonderment.

By saying “no”, although you might feel that others will feel offended or hurt (and it’s possible), you are also sending a strong message that you value your time, that you have priorities, and that you also respect the person to whom you’re saying no, as you don’t want to commit to something and then do a lousy job or not do it at all.

8. Never say you’re sorry. Again, you have to respect your time. If you apologize, you are sending the message that you are doing something wrong by saying no, that somehow you don’t have a strong right to say no. It’s very tempting to apologize, I know. We often say things like, “I’m sorry, but …” or “I wish I could, I’m so sorry” just because we’re uncomfortable giving an outright no. But again, you are sending the wrong message. See Strategy 5 for a better approach.

The best source of hapiness to. Watermelon makes smile and laugh, i know.. sounds really weird.. but it’s true :P

My girlfriend detests watermelon.

O yes I would love to, but one watermelon is just too big for me that I'm scared to buy it.

I think it was in Japan (not positive on the country) came up with a way to grow watermelons square so that they fit in a fridge better, hmmm random but interesting

I wonder how they do that? So far, I think Japanese are pretty creative.
