A young fellow was about to be married and was asking his grandfather about sex. He asked how often you should have it.

His grandfather told him that when you first get married, you want it all the time ...and maybe do it several times a day.

Later on, sex tapers off and you have it once a week or so.

Then as you get older, you have sex maybe once a month. When you get really old, you are lucky to have it once a year..... maybe on your anniversary.

The young fellow then asked his grandfather, "Well how about you and Grandma now?"

His grandfather replied, "Oh, we just have oral sex now."

The Honest Lawyer

An old man was on his death bed, and wanted to be buried with his money. He called his priest, his doctor and his lawyer to his bedside. “Here’s $30,000 cash to be held by each of you. I trust you to put this in my coffin when I die so I can take all my money with me.”

At the funeral, each man put an envelope in the coffin. Riding away in a limousine, the priest suddenly broke into tears and confessed, “I only put $20,000 into the envelope because I needed $10,000 to repair the roof of the church.”

“Well, since we’re confiding in each other,” said the doctor, “I only put $10,000 in the envelope because we needed a new X-ray machine for the pediatrics ward at the hospital which cost $20,000.”

The lawyer was aghast. “I’m ashamed of both of you,” he exclaimed. “I want it known that when I put my envelope in that coffin, I enclosed a check for the full $30,000.”

The search for continuous happiness, for a life wholly without reflection, melancholy, or pain strikes me as unrealistic and, well, sad…Plus, I rather like the longing in my heart for a permanence which is impossible in this life and only possible in the next. I wouldn’t want any pill to blot that yearning out.

Seven Cardinal & Contrary Virtues

clipper's remarks: Most people are aware of the seven deadly (or cardinal) sins, but few are aware that there are two sets of seven virtues as well, one set standing in direct contrast to the sins.

I find it interesting that a page devoted to atheism had a concise and easily found description of these attributes, but the religious sites I visited required wading through reams of theology much too extensive to clip.

In addition to the four "cardinal virtues" of prudence, fortitude, justice and temperance some Christian theologians promoted the idea of three "theological" virtues, faith hope and love.

The first four can be traced back to Greek philosophers and Christian theologians readily adopted them, arguing that they were applicable to all humans, Christian or otherwise. The final three developed

from the writings of Paul in the New Testament. They were not applied to all humans because theologians thought that they were not naturally a part of human character due to the Fall into sin. Instead, they came directly from God after one is baptized.

There are also seven "contrary" virtues: humility, kindness, abstinence, chastity, patience, generosity, and diligence

: humility is opposed to pride, kindness is opposed to envy, abstinence is opposed to gluttony, chastity is opposed to lust, patience is opposed to anger, generosity is opposed to greed, and diligence is opposed to sloth.

Of course I'm interested in Twitter. So I signed up for an account, found some friends, and started watching ... and tweeting. But the thing is, I really have nothing to say. I'm happy to share my life with my friends, but reluctant to share it with the world.

My interest in Twitter stems from using it in workgroups, for professional applications, to document a one-time event in real time. I see lots of uses.

But if you want to know "what I'm doing" you're sure to be disappointed. I may be organizing my sock drawer. Or something else equally boring. Or I may be doing something positively brilliant. But it's not for sharing. At least not with the entire world.

Wow, if you thought working at your white-collared job, sitting in your well equipped air-conditioned office, thinking that this is probably one of the safest place to be… you may just want to think twice about that. The office is a jungle. Beside having to watch your back against office colleagues who may be wolf in sheep’s clothes, you may just have to watch out for those seemingly utilitarian office supplies, because in conjuncture with other seemingly innocent office supplies, they may just result to be one of the deadliest office weapon yet. Below is an example of our favorite office supplies- binder clips, turned into office weapons.

Take a few binder clips of varying sizes, turn them upside down, and clip the smaller binder clips inside the larger clips.

It should look like this when the larger binder clips have clipped the smaller ones.

Remove all the binder clip handles.

Add another 2 larger binder clips on top of the smaller edge with a rubber band in between.
