Adobe already has a version of Flash for the iPhone running on emulation software, and would, fingers crossed, be able to bring that over to the phone itself if Apple allowed it. That’s what Adobe said yesterday at its Q2 conference call. Or:

But will Apple allow Flash for the iPhone? Steve Jobs has claimed in the past that the mobile version of Flash—presumably what Adobe would be porting over to the iPhone—isn’t powerful enough for use on the nimble and elegant iPhone. Integration with Safari? Ha! (Not you, Peter.)

This leaves Adobe, if it wants a piece of that sweet, sweet iPhone market, with a few options. It could simply release a stand-alone Flash application on the upcoming App Store, but that would be cumbersome to say the least. One of the big reason why Flash is so popular is because it “just works” in a browser. No having to download Hulu videos to your hard drive in order to view them, for example.

HandBrake is a DVD ripping utility for Mac OS X. It allows you to shrink the size of the DVD video while minimizing the loss the video quality. You can make mp4 and avi files including H.264 that Apple has been pushing hard. Subtitles are also supported. 2-pass encoding setting tries best to keep the quality of the video. Above all, it’s free.

So, nothing to complain? Well, the icon. The icon of the HandBrake isn’t nice-looking. See the pic below:

However, Model Concept offers alternative icons for HandBrake and HandBrake Lite. Lite version is dedicated for making the size of the video for 5th generation iPod. The icons are way coolder than the originals. Here’s the pic of the alternative icon.

Now, It’s more pleasurable to see HandBrake icon in the Dock while I’m ripping DVDs. You know, ripping DVD takes time. You need to be comfortable while you are waiting for HandBrakd to finish the task.

Have you seen these sites on the web that tell you you can get free iPods, Computers and other things?

Most of them are not upfront with what you have to do to get the free item.
However I have found two company that are 100% legitimate.

I will only focus on one of them for this lens because I completed all the offers from the 2nd company and can't do them again.

However Offer Centric LLC, based in California, USA, allows you to do most of their sites again and again.

I was very skeptical at first. After I did some research, I signed up for the free iPod site. I completed an offer from Blockbuster Online for just $9.99. Then I got some friends to sign up and sure enough I got a free iPod. I was hooked and signed up for the other sites and got many other Free iPods,Computers, and other gadgets over a period of time.

Apple released the Lisa in January of 1983 for $9,995, and the similar Macintosh was released a year later for $2,495.

"I've felt bad about people who bought the Lisa for a long time. Anybody who bought one of the first Apple Lisas really got screwed," said Jobs. "Now that we've got some cash, I think it's about time we made it right."

People interested in the refund will need to bring in an original receipt showing they bought the Lisa in 1983 and proof of purchase from the Apple Lisa box. Sales figures from that year show that if all people who bought the computer claim the refund, Apple could be liable for almost $70,000.

Steve Bloughs, who bought a Lisa, said, "When I heard about the iPhone refund, I was furious. The Lisa screw job was much more egregious. I've been waiting over twenty years for Apple to make this right. I'm glad they finally have."

See that? That's the rumored, "super slim," brushed aluminum keyboard said to be accompanying Apple's new iMac computer. It certainly appears to share the key design of the MacBook like we heard but seeing "Photoshop" in the exif data doesn't give us a high degree of confidence here. Regardless, a forum jockey over at the Rhapsody Apple forum in Hong Kong will sell you the keyboard (s/he has more than one) for 1,200 of the local stuff or about $153.40. Word to the wise, the consensus amongst rumor sites shows the new iMac coming as early as August 7th so you might want to hold onto that wad for a few more days to see what happens. We've got a bigger version of that image above along with the Apple development team sticker ~~reportedly~~ affixed to the backside of the unit in the gallery below.

18k Gold-Plated iPod shuffle

Normally we skip over these bullshit gold-plated gadgets, but this 18-karat gold-plated iPod shuffle's picture was so pretty we couldn't resist. We would've been even more impressed if it were solid 24-karat gold, but we'll just have to settle for this gold plating. There's just something strangely appealing about the irony and incongruity of the cheapest iPod clad in the most elegant of metals. It's just so, uh, inappropriate. How much does it cost?

Even though it's just gold plated, Xexoo, a German company that apparently makes a pretty good living by soaking gullible, vain and rich buffoons, is still going to clip those cash-soaked Diamond Jim Bradys for $10,000 to possess this dubious bauble. The company says there's even a diamond-studded upgrade in the works. We hope for the sake of the civilized world that none of these will sell well. [BornRich]

Put DVDs on the iPhone - the super simple way

HandBrake is a GPL'd multi-platform, multithreaded DVD to MPEG-4 ripper/converter - it's super easy to rip the DVDs you have and put them on the new iPhone - they look great and are about 1 GB each, here's how...

First, get HandBrake - Link. There are also PC versions of HandBrake, it might work about the same way.

Install it, run it. Pop the DVD in. Pick the DVD volume. Choose your settings, I use the defaults usually.

It takes about 30 min or so, it runs fine in the background.

Drag the MP4 file it makes in to iTunes, in videos tab in iTunes for the iPhone select the movie, click Sync.

In a couple minutes it transfers over.

It's about a gig.

The video is in the videos section. iPod / Videos.

It looks and sounds great!

We have spent more than 40 hours tapping around the iPhone screens in an effort to find issues with the applications. This was not an easy task. The OS X graphical interface and applications are extremely solid!

The bugs range from minor display issues to application crashes. All 68 are reproducible by every iPhone owner!

Apple Jay-Z Beyonce Record Label ?

Starting in April 2007 there were rumors from MediaTakeOut that rapper Jay-Z was leaving the Def Jam Recordings record label to create a new "super label" with singer Beyonce.

In an exclusive interview, MediaTakeOut.com spoke to a key person involved in creating the new label. And according to that insider, the new label will launch early next year. Tells our insider, "It's a done deal. [Jay Z] already has Beyonce and [Mathew Knowles] on board ... She'll be finishing up her contract [with Sony], and I expect that she'll sign on to the new label shortly afterwards."

Jay-Z is a popular rapper and current president and CEO of Def Jam -- a record label owned by Universal Music.

At the time, Jay-Z was reportedly shopping this new "super label" around with the major record labels "and to Apple - who [was] very interested in doing business".

Now, Moli.com is claiming that "an inside industry source" says that its a done deal.
