This one is way better than a lot of the fluff guides that claim you'll "make millions". The dumpster diving section was priceless!

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

Practical Ways to Make Money Online by Selling on eBay

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

Making Money Selling Products on eBay and the Internet

This is going to be different than a lot of those other guides out there because I am not going to tell you to “buy my book” nor will I try to convince someone of a sure fire offer (MLM) that is really just a bogus way to make someone else money.

For this guide we are going to take a look at several different “proven” methods people use to make money online. These may not teach you “how to make millions” but they will definitely help provide more stability in the current economic climate of the US.

There are many common ways that people make money online. They do not require you to be a technical genius and they do not require you to give up all your free time to make them happen.

Todays section of the guide will be making money by selling on eBay.

Tags: money, online, making, make, ebay, sell, selling, guide, guides, tutorial

<clipSource>http://www.pseudorant.com/practical-ways-to-make-money-online-by-selling-on-ebay/</clipSource>

How to Install Programs in Kubuntu LinuxHow to Install Programs in Kubuntu Linux

clipped by: Pseudorant
clipper's remarks: This guide covers using Adept Manager to install programs in Kubuntu. The tutorial walks a user through installing Gimp onto their system and also explains how to remove unwanted software that was installed. Great beginners guide to Linux!

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

How to Install Programs in Kubuntu Linux

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

Installing Applications on Kubuntu Linux – The “Easy” Way!

As I have mentioned before I am gearing this series of articles towards people who are new to Linux and need guides on how to perform basic functions. There are a lot of guides out there that cover the advanced features of Linux but not many that will walk people through the basic things they need to know to get started.

For this guide we are going to be working with a program called “Adept Manager”. Now if you are new to Linux (like me) and you are coming over from a Windows System (like me) you are probably used to working with EXE setup packages and the “Add / Remove Programs” manager in control panel.

The first thing we need to do is open the program. It can be found by going to the following location:

K Menu > System > Adept Manager – Manage Packages

Tags: linux, kubuntu, ubuntu, adept, adept manager, tutorial, guide, instructions, install

<clipSource>http://www.pseudorant.com/how-to-install-programs-in-kubuntu-linux/</clipSource>

How to Install Windows on Linux

clipped by: Pseudorant
clipper's remarks: Tutorial on how to install Windows onto Linux. In this guide I walk you through the steps needed to install and configure Virtualbox to create a Virtual Machine that you can install multiple OS's on. For the article I am installing Windows XP onto Kubuntu.

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

How to Install Windows on Linux

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

Setting up a Virtual Machine in Kubuntu

A good example for me is that I have been a designer on Windows for so long I NEED to use Photoshop. GIMP is a nice program but I have 10+ years of training in Photoshop and I tend to use it on a daily basis.

This is a good example of where having a virtual machine is useful. Because I am new to Linux myself I can’t tell you if there is a version of Photoshop for Linux or not. But because I have already paid for my license I am going to continue to use this software for as long as possible to get my moneys worth.

So without further delay let’s discuss how to install Windows onto Kubuntu by creating a Virtual Machine.

The first thing you need to do is install “Virtualbox”. You can do this using “Adept Manager”.

K Menu > System > Adept Manager

Once you have Adept Manager open do a search for “Virtualbox”.

Once the program returns search results find:

“Virtualbox-OSE” and click on the program title.

Tags: linux, virtualbox, kubuntu, ubuntu, tutorial, guide, how to, windows, install, installing

<clipSource>http://www.pseudorant.com/how-to-install-windows-on-linux/</clipSource>

What version of Linux is right for me?

clipped by: Pseudorant
clipper's remarks: I good guide that walks you through the considerations that need to be made when choosing a version fo Linux

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

What Version of Linux is Right for Me?

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

How to Choose a Linux Distribution

If you read my previous article “Microsoft is the Debil!“, than you probably know I am in the process of switching over to Linux. As I mentioned in that article I have no experience what so ever with Linux so I am writing a series of guides to document my first steps to help others who have been considering the switch but are nervous about what it may entail.

There are several considerations I need to make now that I am switching over to Linux. The main consideration is that I will be installing it onto a laptop that me, and my fiancée share so I need to find something she can easily use also.

The link below will take you to the “Linux Distribution Chooser” website:

http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/

Tags: linux, ubuntu, kubuntu, open source, os, windows, xp, laptop, notebook, guide

<clipSource>http://www.pseudorant.com/what-version-of-linux-is-right-for-me/</clipSource>

Google Alerts Guide

clipped by: Pseudorant
clipper's remarks: This guide explains why Google alerts are so useful. It walks you through how to set them up, and good practices to get the most out of Google Alerts!

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

Why Google Alerts are So Useful!

Clip Source: www.pseudorant.com

Why are “Google Alerts” so Valuable?

This may sound pretty basic but it can be a very powerful tool for many reasons. The internet has gotten to a point where it is considered tacky to waste ones time browsing sites on a high speed connection. In the world we live in, where people feel they need instant access to specific information at all times, the RSS feed is king.

The best way to understand why they are so convenient is to go to the Google Alerts homepage and set one up to see just what they are all about. You can reach the homepage from the following link:

http://www.google.com/alerts

Let’s start by putting in our search terms. You can setup alerts for advanced search queries to find very specific information. Google Alerts will let you setup search terms using all the common Google operators.

Google Guide 03 - Services, Features, Advanced Operators

Tags: google alerts, google, alerts, news, information, internet, online, email, homepage

<clipSource>http://www.pseudorant.com/why-google-alerts-are-so-useful/</clipSource>
