So glad they finally released this program.

Clip Source: www.custompcblog.com

Google Chrome is Now Available for Windows - Download Here

If you were waiting yesterday for a chance to try out the new Google Chrome browser now is your chance. Google has finally made the Chrome beta available for download so users can try out Google’s newest offering in the software arena.

My initial impression of Chrome is that the name does a good job of describing the program. It is sleek, and polished. Simple, yet effective. A friend of mine who has been a long time supporter of Firefox mentioned he had mixed feelings about Firefox 3.0 simply because it felt bloated. His comment was “All I need in a browser is an address bar, and a place to view pages”.

I think Chrome takes this simple idea and creates a browser that does not overwhelm users, and at the same time offers good speed and stability. Of course only long term use will tell for sure, but as it stands Chrome seems like a good offering into the browser arena.

Tags: google, chrome, download, windows, beta, software, applicaiton

<clipSource>http://www.custompcblog.com/software/google-chrome-beta-download</clipSource>

Russian Cyber-War Waged by Government Hackers on Georgia?

clipped by: TedtheTech
clipper's remarks: Cool article talking about how the future of Cyber-war is already here. We have seen many examples of low profile attacks in the past few years but now we are starting to see very public attacks on the internet and IT infrastructure.

Clip Source: www.custompcblog.com

Russian Cyber-War Waged by Government Hackers on Georgia?

Internet Warfare against Georgia, Is Russia to Blame?

an interesting article I came across outlining cyber attacks that have taken place against the country of Georgia. The information at this point is limited but from early analysis of the attacks experts are concluding Russian involvement in nation wide attacks against the cyber infrastructure of Georgia.

Coupled with DDOS (Distribute Denial of Service) attacks, spoofed websites with political propaganda have been surfacing throughout the region, along with Russia’s blocking traffic to websites in Georgia.

This is an early example of Cyber Warfare in the twenty first century. While this is not the first occurrence we have heard of this, this is certainly one of the most public ones. Security experts are still analyzing logs and timelines to try and determine detailed information about the attacks.

Tags: russia, georgia, cyber, war, internet, russian, hacker, hack, hackers, hacking

<clipSource>http://www.custompcblog.com/news/russia-cyber-attack-georgia</clipSource>

At What Point are we Taking Things Too Far? “Playstation War”

clipped by: TedtheTech
clipper's remarks: Playstation 2 Component Called Coltan Incites African War in the Congo.
