I am very thankful to my various hosts for showing me such a good time.

Besides a weekend trip to the Taj Mahal, as you can see above, I was also treated to a full immersion into Bollywood here in Mumbai, the center of the movie world here in India. It started with a 3-hour viewing of Om Shanti Om, complete with a pre-show standing for the Indian national anthem. Afterwards, we ate dinner at Olive's, which is a trendy place where many of the Bollywood stars go to see and be seen by the Page 3 newspapers. My host was leaning over to me telling me who was the sister-in-law of whom and which directors were entering while escorting which starlets.

Kumble backs under-fire Dravid
Anil Kumble, India's Test captain, has firmly backed Rahul Dravid, the captain of the Bangalore Royal Challengers, and said it was time "people who matter" understand what sport is all about. Kumble's statement comes in wake of the comments made by franchise owner Vijay Mallya, who defended his decision to sack Charu Sharma, the chief executive, and also said his biggest mistake was to trust Dravid on matters of team selection.

They
may be some of the most sought after techies in the US, but the Big Apple does
not seem to hold its charm for IITians anymore. A study reveals the number of
IITians opting to move to the US after graduation is steadily coming down. In
the last five years, nearly 84% preferred to stay back and pursue a career in
India.

The trend began from the
class of 2002. Of the IITians who graduated in 2002 and later (including the
class of 2008), only 16% went abroad. In comparison, between 1964 and 2001, 35%
IIT graduates preferred to fly to the US.

Interestingly, 59% of IIT
graduates before 2001 believed that the US and other developed countries
provided better opportunities. However, in the last five years the mindset has
undergone a change. Now, nearly 49% believe India is where the action lies.

Prize with Mr. Gore on Friday, colleagues say. If Gore is the frontman of the crusade against global warming, then Pachauri
runs the engine room as chairman of the UN Intergovern-mental Panel on Climate Control (IPCC), which was named co-winner of the prize with Gore.

to convince skeptics and CEOs of the need of reducing mankind's atmospheric imprint. Now, he warns that if the problem is
not addressed, developing nations will bear the brunt of the crisis, suffering for a situation they did not create because
they have not the resources to mitigate it.
