POLITICAL POEM

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring

Emotions all up and down!

I in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV

Tired of political rap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window

Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others

Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon

As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out

To tear my country apart!

"On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"

He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation

Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

So in his comments, Obama has set the stage for Murtha’s comments, since he talks of the small town Pennsylvanians “cling(ing) to guns or religion…”. This comment was Obamaspeak for small town Midwesterners being stupid, racist, and redneck.

While Hollywood has made definite inroads into the show — causing some dealers to say they won't return — it's still a great place to find cool stuff old and new. First appearances of cool characters like Spider-Man and Supergirl, new and interesting graphic novels like Alex Robinson's "Too Cool to be Forgotten” and The Apocalipstix” by Ray Fawkes and Cameron Stewart, and yes, trailers and promotions for movies and television shows all merge into a crowded, but exciting, five-day experience like no other.

As newspapers lose money and readers, they have been shedding great swaths of expensive expertise. They have been forced to shrink or eliminate the multiply redundant levels of editing that distinguish their kind of journalism from what you find on TV, radio and much of the Web. Copy editors are being bought out or forced out; they are dying and not being replaced.

Thank you for writing to us about your concern with producing microscopic black holes. As you might guess, the physicists at the Large Hadron Collider have given considerable thought to this subject. The news media and others have speculated about possible danger associated with creating microscopic black holes. If there really were danger, we would be as concerned as anyone else. Of course, we would not consider starting an experiment if we thought there was the slightest risk.

According to some theoretical models, microscopic black holes could be produced in collisions at the LHC. Most people think it is very unlikely, but it would be fascinating if it were possible, and definitely harmless. They would decay into ordinary particles extremely quickly, and those particles would be detected by experiments (the tinier the black hole, the faster it evaporates).

For example, the Internet has in recent days been abuzz with talk that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was about to become the victim of a personal attack involving allegations about her private life – a story that made headlines in the respected Times of London.

Fearful of the growing power of rumors, the Clinton campaign has already set up a virtual “rapid response team” to deal with such tales.

A recent case in point was a column by columnist Bob Novak in which the veteran reporter alleged that a ranking Democrat had told him Clinton had serious dirt on rival Democratic Sen. Barack Obama but was sitting on it rather than using it to injure his campaign.

According to the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz, a Clinton spokesman was tipped off by a friendly reporter that Novak's column to be published the next day would report the explosive charge.

NEW YORK — As an FBI spy catcher, Joseph Navarro used to identify traitors through their subtle behavioural tics – even something as simple as a squint could be a giveaway.

These days, Mr. Navarro brings his investigator's eye to the poker table, where a bite of the lip or tilt of the head can signal a straight flush or a stone bluff. Navarro shares his decoding techniques with players eager for an edge in the world of professional poker.

“Poker players lie all the time,” he said. “They pretend they are strong when they are weak or weak when they are strong. The truth is they can all be read. You can have a poker face, but I've yet to see someone with a poker body.”

In the poker world, the giveaways are called “tells” – gestures that signal a player's confidence or discomfort. Mr. Navarro's first career made him uniquely qualified for his current job as an instructor at the

Academy.

Senate Condemns General Betray Us Ad

The Senate voted Thursday to condemn an advertisement by the liberal anti-war group MoveOn.org that accused the top military commander in Iraq of betrayal.

The 72-25 vote condemned the full-page ad that appeared in The New York Times last week as Gen. David Petraeus, the top military commander in Iraq, testified on Capitol Hill. The ad was headlined: ''General Petraeus or General Betray Us? Cooking the books for the White House.''

The ad became a life raft for the Republican party as the war debate kicked into high gear. With several Republicans opposed to President Bush's war strategy, GOP members were able to put aside their differences and rally around their disapproval of the ad.
