Today I will review the TomTom GO 720 4.3 Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Navigator. Global positioning satellite (GPS) units have changed the way we drive today. No longer do you need to fight with foldout maps to determine your route. Today, with the push of a few buttons you can plug your start point and destination and wind up with the best route to take. If you haven’t tried a GPS before, I highly recommend getting one. If you already have, then you know what I’m talking about.

I am a huge fan of Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology. Personally, I think it’s time for everyone to have this technology. No more need for maps. No more need to rely on the kindness of strangers by asking for directions. A GPS can tell you where you are and how to get to where you want to be. Today I will be reviewing the Garmin nüvi 255W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator.

The nuvi 255 indicates your estimated arrival time at your destination based on your current speed and the remaining distance. This allows you to advise anyone you might be meeting on the other end of your trip if you are going to be early or late. It also allows you to figure out if you have enough time to make a pit stop along your route.

Driving someplace you’ve never been has never been easier. Use of a Global Positioning System, or GPS, has made folded paper maps almost obsolete. Today I will review the Garmin nüvi 760 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Automobile Navigator. As of this review, this is the best selling GPS unit.

The 760 is portable. It allows you to switch to pedestrian mode so that you can use it to navigate around unfamiliar cities. You’ll look less like a tourist without that fold-up map blowing in the breeze. Just keep your eye on the battery. Battery life is about 5 hours, and this unit does not come with an A/C adaptor. If you plan on using it all day it might be a good idea to buy an additional battery. It uses lithium-ion batteries.

There are several different types of compost bins for sale today. You can get vermicomposters, electric composters for indoor use, outdoor plastic compost bins, and even the simple pile, if you have enough property and your municipality allows you to have one. But my personal favorites are the tumbling compost bins.

The main reason I like them best of all is the speed at which they turn your kitchen scraps into compost. While I have yet to get compost in the two weeks the advertisers claimed, I do get usable compost much earlier than with my regular compost bin. I’m sure the main reason for that is that I’m a bit lazy, and it’s easier to turn compost in a tumbler than in a regular compost bin… much easier! And one of the secrets to getting good compost is to aerate the compost. So if you are lazy like me, or have difficulty turning your compost (you are supposed to occasionally turn your compost bins to help things along) the tumbling composters do that for you.

We’ve been composting for awhile. Since my wife and I are vegetarians, we generate a lot of compost. When we first started composting, I didn't know what a kitchen compost bin was. It is my job to bring the kitchen scraps out to our compost bins, and I’ll admit it, I’m a little lazy. This meant that, in addition to fruit flies and odors developing in the kitchen, my wife (who is normally very easy going) would resort to nagging me.
