They love their dog deeply and want only the best for them. Maintaining your dog’s health ensures he will have a long and happy life with you, and a crucial part of this is feeding your dog the right food. Holistic dog food is one of the best choices you can make for your pet.

Other types of dog food may have additives which can be harmful for your pet, but holistic dog food, especially natural organic dog food, mimics the natural diet your dog would eat in the wild. By mimicking its natural diet you are helping your dog to live a more natural and healthier life.

A big advantage of feeding your pet holistic dog food is that it is likely to improve your dog’s immune system, making it healthier. While the meat in commercial food may have antibiotics in it, organic dog food does not, which keeps your dog’s immune system strong, and ready to fight off any infection.

Tags: homemade dog food recipe, wellness dog food, organic dog food, dog food allergies, dog food nutrition

<clipSource>http://www.thepoochplace.com/dog-food/dog-food-facts</clipSource>

In Memory of A Stray

clipped by: Fluffyandfurry
clipper's remarks: A page written for dog lovers.

Clip Source: www.thepoochplace.com

In Memory of A Stray

One of the most heartbreaking things a rescuer comes across is a dog that you are too late to save. I met one such dog two days after my beloved Gonzo died in my arms. Still grieving for my dog, I happened upon a starving, sick shepherd mix in the middle of the road. I had seen him several times and knew that he didn’t have a home. I could tell he had been hit at least once recently as his neck was covered with dried blood. He had fear in his eyes and his body was tired and full of pain. He would just lay in the middle of the road when a car would come, looking like he hoped to be run over for the final time.

Tags: dog food recipes, dog food recipe, homemade dog food recipes, home made dog food, free dog food recipes, natural organic dog food

<clipSource>http://www.thepoochplace.com/dog-health/in-memory-of-a-stray</clipSource>

Dog Training & Health Tips

clipped by: Fluffyandfurry
clipper's remarks: Helpful tips on how dog health and dog training.

Clip Source: www.thepoochplace.com

Because my wife goes nuts (ok…maybe just moderately crazy) whenever we see a stray dog on the side of the road or someone calls and tells her they have a puppy or dog that needs help, I end up with
another mouth to feed. Now please don’t take this the wrong way,
I love my wife and I certainly like the dogs that show up but some
of them aren’t always the best behaved.

As I sat down to write this review of SitStayFetch I started thinking about how I got to the point that I needed a book on how to train dogs. It all started when I got married, now you see I like dogs well almost all animals actually but my wife is a dog fanatic. She absolutely loves dogs, her brother once said she’s step over a dieing person to pet a dog. Though that’s not entirely true it’s pretty close. For those of you that are dog (or pet) lovers I’m sure you understand.

Dog Training & Health Tips

Tags: dog food recipes, dog food recipe, homemade dog food, homemade dog food recipe, wellness dog food, dog training

<clipSource>http://www.thepoochplace.com/dog-training/dog-training-health-tips</clipSource>

The Pooch Place: Pet Food Safety

clipped by: Fluffyandfurry
clipper's remarks: Helpful information on dog food and more!

Clip Source: www.thepoochplace.com

The Pooch Place: Pet Food Safety

The Truth About Dog Food

"The Food Your Feeding Your Dog May Actually Be Killing Him"

Thats a shame isn’t it, that the commercial dog food you’re feeding yor dog may actually be poison. Most of the pets foods claim to have all the nutrients your dog will ever need. The reality is most do not. Add to the fact that most are filled with "meat by-products", you know, the non-rendered, other than meat, derived from slaughtered mammals. It includes, but is not limited to, lungs, spleen, kidneys, brain, livers, blood, bone, partially defatted low temperature fatty tissue, and stomachs and intestines freed of their contents.
