If the PCUSA is no longer going to stand for biblical principles then they no longer need to be supported by members who do not support such iniquity.

It is time for someone to take a whip to the houses of prostitution being set up in the once reformed church house.

Jdg 2:11 (GW) The people of Israel did what the Lord considered evil. They began to serve other gods—the Baals. 12 The Israelites abandoned the Lord God of their ancestors, the God who brought them out of Egypt. They followed the other gods of the people around them. They worshiped these gods, and that made the Lord angry. 13 They abandoned the Lord to serve the god Baal and the goddess Astarte. 14 So the Lord became angry with the people of Israel. He handed them over to people who robbed them. He also used their enemies around them to defeat them. They could no longer stand up against their enemies.

Clip Source: www.onenewsnow.com

The executive director of the Presbyterian Lay Committee says the recent meeting of the Presbyterian Church (USA) highlighted a disregard for historic Reformed standards and a failure to glorify Jesus Christ.

During its recent meeting in San Jose, California, the highest governing body of the PCUSA voted in favor of a proposal that would allow for the ordination of non-celibate homosexual men and women. The General Assembly also initiated a process to revise the Heidelberg Catechism to delete the Bible's prohibition against homosexuality.

"Some churches are looking to withhold per capita giving from the denomination, essentially refusing to fund any denominational activities, and are redirecting their giving to missions [with] which they are familiar and which they trust," Burge explains. The early disciples have recorded in the bible of people who where healed and raised from the dead. Therefore it is or at least was a ministry preformed by both Jesus and his early disciples.

The main focus of Jesus' ministry as well as the early disciples was the 'preaching of the kingdom of God' and not the ministry of healing. Healing came as a result of seeking Jesus or the kingdom of God.

Like this article states Jesus did warn of many false prophets who would arise preforming miracles in attempts to mislead and deceive.

It was interesting to read in this article that of all the people who were reportedly healed at this 'revival' Mr Bentley only produced a list of 15 people who could verify such healing. And yet thousands have attended the revival.

Personally I believe God can heal anyone if He chooses to but the bible says 'Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousne

Clip Source: www.onenewsnow.com

<STORYLEAD>LAKELAND, Fla. - Todd Bentley believes God acts through him to cure cancer, heal the deaf and raise the dead.</STORYLEAD>

So do hundreds of thousands of people who have visited his raucous revival meeting, now in its third month and broadcast nightly from a huge tent in the middle of Florida.

The 32-year-old Canadian, tattooed to the fingers and neck, puts a palm to the forehead of the sick, desperate and faithful. Bentley yells "Bam!" they collapse and he proclaims them cured. Attendees dance in the aisles, shout to Heaven, laugh, shake violently and cry.

"Some of the language used during the Lakeland Revival has created an almost sideshow atmosphere,

Christian critics say he rarely opens a Bible or sermonizes about Jesus Christ. And it is that continued dependence upon Almighty God that shall sustain us as a great nation.

Declaring our Independence from God would only lead us into a path of destruction and oblivion.

Clip Source: www.onenewsnow.com

Dr. Larry Arnn is president of Hillsdale College in Michigan. In a recent article published on TownHall.com, Arnn calls The Declaration of Independence "a most remarkable declaration." He says that it is remarkable to remember that all who supported the document and all who signed the document were committing acts of treason punishable by death. But perhaps most remarkable was the documents four references to God.

"The posture of The Declaration of Independence is an appeal to heaven. And so it's really a beautiful thing if you put the four places that God is mentioned together in the declaration. He's mentioned as the maker of the laws of nature and of nature's God – which makes him a legislator. He's mentioned as the supreme judge of the world – which makes him a judge. He's mentioned as divine providence – which makes him an executive. And he's mentioned as the creator – which is like being a founder," Arnn explains.

Tags: declaration, independence, government, faith

<clipSource>http://www.onenewsnow.com/Legal/Default.aspx?id=165580</clipSource>

Salad Bar Christianity

clipped by: Eaglewings
clipper's remarks: This is just another example of a man-made god. Taking the parts we like from all religious practices and mixing them together to form a hodgepodge of beliefs that Jesus warned against. Jesus declared unashamedly that he was the way the truth and the life not just one of many.

Man loves to remake God into their own image, changing the absolute rightness of God for a rightness that suits each individual. The salad bar analogy works good here because the tendency of people is to take what they like and leave what they do not like. Most times it is the food that is best for us that we leave on the salad bar.

Clip Source: www.usatoday.com

Religion today in the USA is a salad bar where people heap on upbeat beliefs they like and often leave the veggies — like strict doctrines — behind.

There are so many ways of seeing God, public policy expert Barry Kosmin says, that "the highest authority is now the lowest common denominator."

"Americans believe in everything. 4.	Get rid of 99.9% of “Christian” TV.

5.	Quit trying to be relevant and instead become prophetic contrarians, I’m talking contra mundus, mama!

6.	Put a 10-year moratorium on “God wants you rich” sermons (yeah, that’s what we need to hear nowadays, you morons, more sermons about money, money, money!).

7.	Embrace apologetics and shun shallow faith.

8.	Evangelize like it’s 1999.

Clip Source: www.townhall.com

No attempt is made by these 'leaders' to search out truth they just continually spout out falsehoods after falsehoods and the American people seem to just give them a pass.

I am not the smartest bird in the nest but this eagle can spot a doo doo bird simply enough. People would much rather believe all these convoluted offerings rather than the truth that a loving God actually cared enough about our pitiful selfs that He sent His only Son to die so that we might live.

Now I do not know about you but my best intentions has never led me anywhere but to despair. No matter how hard I tried I could never measure up to be GOOD enough by the so called enlightened crowd so I guess I would be doomed to forever live in despair save for the Lord Jesus Christ who came into my life and rescued me from my despair. Now I know who I belong to and therefore I am no longer looking to the enlightened crowd for my self worth.

Perhaps Chopra and all his adherents would be better served to read the 'Good Book'.

Clip Source: www.townhall.com

In the book, released in February by Harmony, Chopra states, "I have written what I think the New Testament means…" And what it means to Chopra, the author of more than 40 books, is quite different from the way orthodox Christians have understood it through the centuries.

Chopra believes that the "real" Jesus -- the third Jesus -- is much less than the New Testament makes him out to be.

According to Chopra, Jesus was nothing more than an adherent to what we now call New Age philosophy.

"Jesus did not physically descend from God's dwelling place … nor did he return to sit at the right hand of a literal throne," writes Chopra. Once was not enough now apparently it is fashionable to create amusement parks in the name of Christianity. I guess this really should not be so surprising considering a good bit of televised religion is nothing more then infomercials and religious entertainment anyway.

Perhaps the churches should start charging admission to get inside to witness the great adventures of God up close and personal. Why not just turn the church houses into museums or tourist attractions?

Clip Source: www.christianpost.com

Developers of a proposed Bible theme park in Tennessee met with area pastors this week to share information and receive feedback on a project that has met both support and opposition from the local community.

“There seems to be nothing sacred or off limits where capitalism is concerned,” Matthews said.

The brains behind the attraction, which would be dubbed Bible Park USA upon completion, have marketed the park as an “edutainment” experience, a mixed offering of education and entertainment, that will allow visitors to visualize familiar Bible stories and a taste of life in ancient biblical times. Bible stories from both the Old and New Testaments would be depicted in a non-denomination and non-interpretive way.

“This is a family-friendly place,” he said. “The park is open for anyone who wants to come, including those who do not believe in the Bible. Jesus did not come to save just Christians He came to save all mankind. That includes the Muslims, Jews, Greeks, Atheists, Deists and any other religious or secular group of people in the world.

To me it only makes sense that the universal God should be presented all of mankind considering that is what Christmas really is all about.

God sent the very first Christmas card when He sent His son to be born in a manager.
