Washington D.C. (AP) President Bush will announce a two phase plan to reinvigorate the nation's economy at a White House press conference tomorrow. Phase I of the Bush plan calls for removal of the Capitol Rotunda and its replacement with the world's largest commode. Phase II calls for the collection of $150 Billion of taxpayer money, which will then be thrown into the gigantic crapper and flushed away.

HOW NOT TO GET TASERED

* When asking questions to a Senator, make sure to do so in the proper manner as instructed to at the event.

* If you decide to instead grab the mic, only ask one question and wait for the Senator to respond.

* If you aren't interested in the Senator's response and feel it more pressing to ask more questions, relent when the police approach you.

* If you decide not to relent when the police approach you at least don't be a huge drama queen.

* If you are a huge drama queen when the police attempt to escort you out, at least don't try and resist arrest and run back in the room.

* If you do resist arrest and run back into the room, do give up when the police tackle you.

* If you keep resisting when tackled to the ground, do finally follow police instructions when they threaten to taser you.

Hillary Clinton took by far the most money from Hsu and his suspect donor network - $174,000 net of refunds. Clinton has agreed to turn over only Hsu's direct contributions (just 13% of the total) to charity. Tied for the biggest windfall from Hsu directly were New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and New York Governor (and former Attorney General) Eliot Spitzer, with $60,100 each.

Among state parties, campaign committees, and advocacy groups, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee topped the list, with $122,000, though three state Democratic parties or committees (Tennessee, New York, and New Jersey) took more from Hsu directly. Of the 32 organizations that took money from Hsu and his associates, 10 were state Democratic parties and several others were Democratic campaign committees.

And because a diverse society lacks agreed values and standards, governments regulate the behaviour of all, including the law-abiding, to maintain social peace.

Thus, we have far more officials supervising us than in the 1950s, but they are anti-smoking social workers and ethnic diversity officers rather than park wardens.

The police have become little more than the paramilitary wing of The Guardian, sniffing out "racist" or "Islamophobic" attitudes rather than investigating serious crimes that have some "cultural" excuse. Society gradually becomes more governed and less self-governing.

The nation's largest newspaper, USA Today, yesterday joined the New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle in bemoaning the trend of San Franciscans of African heritage moving out of the central city.

Imagine that instead of blacks, the white population of San Francisco (which has declined significantly over the last several decades, from 89.5% white in 1950 to 53% in 2000) were the object of concern. City officials trying "stop the exodus" or "win whites" (as if they were a prize) or "to figure out what can be done to preserve the remaining white population and cultivate new white residents" would be properly accused of racism.

A city government entering the business of racially engineering of its population is repellant.The liberal journalists who fan this sort of racism ought to be ashamed of themselves. And the city officials who proclaim their preference for residents of one racial group over others ought to be challenged to justify their racism.

The Danish-Palestinian politician Asmaa Abdol-Hamid caused a stir in the Danish media yesterday when she said in an interview with the tabloid newspaper B.T. that she suppors the «resistance» movement in Iraq and has no problems with Danish troops being attacked.

Asmaa Abdol-Hamid came to Denmark as a Palestinian refugee in 1986 together with her family. She is a social worker and first made national headlines when she refused to shake hands with a male colleague after she was elected as a deputy member of the Odense city council in 2005 for the Red-Green Alliance.

Showing his more feminine side, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has yielded to the thousands of letters he had received from the readers of girl magazines Seventeen, Tiger Beat, and Teen Vogue, pleading with him that the Senate conducts a sleepover to bring about world peace.

"Like, if the Senate just had more, like you know, sleepovers with S'mores and popcorn they'd realize how icky war is," said a letter from Muffy Binghamton of Canoga Park, California.

"Senator Collins of Maine is bringing the S'mores and Senator Clinton is bringing the soda and chips," Annie confided to us. "And Senator Kennedy will be sneaking in the booze he stole from his parent's liquor cabinet... Shhhhhhh!"
