clipper's remarks: The next item on our agenda is the Helmet Cam video for Jigsaw Falling Into Place, the first single from the album. The Helmet Cam is something I made a couple of years ago to shoot some bits for my comedy night. It’s a mini surveillance camera mounted on the front of a bicycle helmet which makes the head of the wearer appear stationary while everything around them slides around nauseatingly. It’s a technique that’s been used a lot (Martin Scorcese and Peter Gabriel spring to mind), but it always occurred to me that the bike helmet version might be good for some kind of music video. When I found out we were doing the Radiohead webcast I got to work making 5 new ‘units’ for the band. A bike helmet is ideal for mounting the camera because you can strap it on tight enough for it not to wobble too much, but it has the downside of making you look like a bit of a prat so I was concerned that a band like Radiohead might be uncomfortable with that. clipper's remarks: The sun is almost down as we scramble up the hill and after some brief, breathless discussion over whether the wind is going to ruin the sound and whether Jonny and Thom should sit or stand, we start filming. They perform the song, one of my favourites from In Rainbows, three times. The third one is the best and the wind even holds off for a gap in Thom’s vocal before blustering into the mics. It’s pretty dark by then but luckily my camera picks up enough to make it worth it. We get a final cutaway of Thom and Jonny silhouetted against the streaks of orange behind the powerstation then head back to the studio.

In Chess Boxing you have to either checkmate or knock out your rival

It is fight night in a smoky Berlin nightclub.

As he shuffles, then skips towards the ring, bare-chested and beating the air, this American muscle machine looks cool and confident. Seeing his opponent though, I would not be.

A bell sounds. Seconds out - round one!

But just when you would expect the punches to start flying, something rather odd happens.

The two challengers put on headphones, sit down at a table and start playing chess: in the middle of the boxing ring.

That is because this is Chess Boxing. A sort of Rocky... with rooks.

The rules are simple. There is one round of chess - and then one round of boxing. Punching power alternating with brainpower.

My Bloody Valentine reunion confirmed?

My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields has confirmed that their rumoured reunion is definitely on.

Shields also added that a new studio album by the band would appear this year.

He said: "We were making a record in the '90s around when the band broke up in 1995...and I continued with Belinda [Butcher- guitarist/vocalist]. We kinda made most of an album... It's going to be this 96/97 record half-finished, and then a compilation of stuff we did before that in 1993-94, and a little bit of new stuff."

He added: "I pretty much know what the one that's going to come out this year is going to sound like because its already pretty much three-quarters done already... it sounds like what we sounded like - different, but not radically different. People will go, "yeah, it sounds like My Bloody Valentine."

Shields was talking on the TV show 'Soft Focus' on the US cable channel VBS.tv, which is set to air on Monday (November 12).

So I illustrated Gravity's Rainbow-- nobody asked me to, but I did it anyway. Most of the pictures are drawings-- ink on whatever paper was lying around, but there are also paintings (acrylic), photos I took, and experimental photographic processes. I tried to illustrate the passages as literally as possible-- if the book says there was a green Spitfire, I drew a green Spitfire. Mostly, I tried to make a series of pictures as dense, intricate, and rich as the prose in the book. The entire project was shown in the Whitney Museum's 2004 Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Art and is now in the permanent collection of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.

Want some artwork to go with your new Radiohead album?

Got the new Radiohead album today (October 10) as a download? Well, if you’ve ordered the “Discbox” edition you’ll have to wait until December before you get any artwork.

If you’ve only gone for the download then there won’t be a conventional CD until 2008.

So to fill in the gap created by the download first release, we’ve got our art team to have a look at the band’s website and imagery so far, had a quick tinker and come up with some interim artwork courtesy of NME.

All you need to do is grab or save the JPEG, then drop it in your iTunes or whatever MP3 player you’re using. Much better than staring at a boring blank screen for the next few months, we reckon.

You can also download and print out a PDF file which will go nicely with any CD-Rs you're making of the new album. Just click on the link below.

Earlier today on NME.COM, we asked for your short reviews of Radiohead's new album 'In Rainbows', and here's a selection of your verdicts on the new album.

Adam Wood: "The more adventurous orchestral parts are a nice addition to 'Hail To The Thief''s eclectic mix. The album makes an interesting counterpart to 'OK Computer' at 10 years removed - the two albums bookend the Blair era with equal measures of dissatisfaction and dread; on first listen though, there seems to be a little more romance on the new record."

Tom Watts: "It started with a glitch. Glitchy drums, that is. 'In Rainbows' gets off to a powerhouse of a start - three of the first four songs hammer along - losing the funeral pace of some of 'Hail...'. 'Bodysnatchers', 'Nude' and 'Weird Fishes/Arpeggi' are real highlights. Guitars up front, intricate rhythms - with live drums - and one hell of a swagger."
