Acey Slade, former Murderdolls guitarist and Wednesday 13’s touring axe-man, has announced two new music projects in the works fusing horror-themed metal to electronic beats, with a glammed-up twist.

First off, a limited-run EP – dubbed Sex, Murder, Art Baby! – is made up of remixes done in collaboration with several horror-rock heavyweights – including Rob Zombie’s bassist Piggy D, Kaiser von Loopy from industrial-metal maniacs Hanzel Und Gretyl, Deathstars’ Jonas “Skinny Disco” Kangur, and the oh-so-psycho DJ Speedranch.

For double the destruction, Slade is also near completion of a full-length electro-metal album tentatively titled Dark Party, co-produced by Slade (who handles guitars and vocals) and acclaimed drum ‘n’ bass producer Shaun “Stakka” Morris (mixing and programming).

The remix EP is coming soon, and the album is scheduled for early next year. Start fearing for your sanity now!

A new thesis from the Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet shows that the brain’s serotonin system differs between men and women. US border guard denies sex for smuggling

SEATTLE - A former Blaine, Wash., border guard has denied letting a Canadian woman bring drugs into the U-S in exchange for sex.

Desmone Bastian told a federal jury in Seattle today he never failed to perform his duty or turned a blind eye. He testified that if Sandra Maas brought marijuana or other drugs through the Peace Arch border crossing, he was unaware of it.

Bastian faces five charges, including receiving a bribe and conspiracy to import more than 900 kilos of marijuana.

Earlier this week, Maas testified that Bastian knew what she was doing. She says she dressed in skimpy clothing and flirted with him at the border.

The former border guard broke down in tears as he described paying Maas for sex, but insisted he never saw her bring drugs through.

Court okays sex films of unwitting partner

ROME (Reuters) - Recording secret videos of sex with your partner is not illegal, Italy's supreme court has ruled.

Rome's highest appeals acquitted a 49-year-old man who, unbeknown to his girlfriend, had recorded and kept films of them having sex.

It overruled two previous verdicts which had given him a four-month jail sentence.

The woman had agreed to the man using a video camera to project live images of them having sex on to the bedroom wall, but did not know he was recording the action.

The court acquitted the man because he had not distributed the films to other people.

When the relationship ended the man gave the videos to his partner in a package accompanied by a note saying: "These are my last thought for you."

An Italian firm of undertakers has unveiled its 2008 calendar - featuring glamour models draped over its range of coffins.

Owber Maurizio Matteucci defended the calendar - on sale at his firm's outlets for just £7 - which has caused outrage in the Catholic country.

"Coffins are consumer goods like any other things, so I sell in the same way as any other consumer goods are sold. The calendar is very popular."

A study by Australian researchers of men attending a fertility clinic has revealed that the genetic defects in their sperm fell substantially after they were encouraged to have sex each day.

It seems around a fifth of men have sperm with significant DNA damage.

Sperm which are genetically damaged can reduce the chances of a sperm fertilising an egg, and can also lead to the formation of an embryo that fails to implant properly or is miscarried.

Tests taken after three days of sexual abstinence revealed 30.8% genetic damage in the men's sperm.

The men were then told to engage in sexual activity daily for a week and were tested again.

While tests showed that their sperm counts fell by nearly one third, genetic damage also fell, on average by 12.8%, in 37 of the men.

Dr. Greening says he believes the longer sperm are held in the tube that leads from the testicles, the more genetic damage they accumulate from free radicals circulating in the body

Sex offender found dead in middle school locker room

A 40-year-old registered sex offender who was a custodian at Chisholm Trail Middle School was found dead Tuesday morning in a school locker room.

Authorities believe Jose Hector Cortes-Lopez, who was convicted last year of indecent exposure, accidentally died from asphyxiation. He was found with a bag over his head at the school in the Wise County town of Rhome.

Chisholm Trail principal Rob Thornell said he believes Mr. Cortes-Lopez had worked for the custodial company GCA Services Group for about five months. Mr. Cortes-Lopez was able to pass a background check because he used an alias, Hector Garza, and was hired under that name.

Northwest school district spokeswoman Lesley Weaver said GCA finished fingerprinting all its employees Wednesday.
