Jodhpur

Sick of traffic jams? wish there was an easier way to get to work? Well now you can buy a flying car on eBay with a starting bid of $20,000.

Moller International, makes of flying cars, has the M200X prototype vehicle shown in the video above up for sale. This particular car was the first ever working model, and Moller is pitching it as a collectors item that will increase with value over time.

There is one small catch though, and it’s not listed in the auction, but answered in the questions from eBay members section: it isn’t safe to fly: “We do not recommend flying the M200X in its current configuration. The fans are currently fitted with aluminum blades with a known failure mode.”

Those singles and their various mutant offspring have been gathered together for EXTRA Volumes 1-3, and roughly grouped according to each of the band’s three main creative eras. Since the band has already remastered nearly their entire catalog of full albums from their years on the Wax Trax! label, this collection gathers the tracks excluded from those albums – derived from 12” vinyl singles, CD/cassette singles and extended versions – some of which have never been officially released until now. Each volume includes a booklet containing art from ubiquitous KMFDM promo artist Brute!, archive photos of the band, full historical details about each track and plenty more.

The whole set weighs in at 6 CDs, with a total of 26 tracks for the whole shebang, well over 2 hours’ worth of music. And you know what? It’s all just as fresh, mean, heavy and wickedly relevant as it was when the Kap’n laid down his first tracks in 1984, and you can take that to the bank, suckaz.

7 Killings in 2 Weeks is the twisted creation of horror filmmaker D.W. Bucks and music producer Big Foot Lee of Feet 1st Productions. Having first worked together on the trailer for Bucks' film Destined to be Ingested, the pair hit it off and set off in search of a new music project.

Each track has a unique feel and vibe: “Mark of the Vampire” has a sensual, Gothic feel, “Plan Nine” is all juicy horn blasts and quotes from the awesome Criswell, and my personal fave “Blood Feast” uses a sweet, DJ Shadow trip-hop vibe to set up some brilliantly-edited layers of samples that actually make H.G. Lewis's crap dialogue (“It has not been served for five... thousand... years!”) sound like beat poetry.

Acey Slade, former Murderdolls guitarist and Wednesday 13’s touring axe-man, has announced two new music projects in the works fusing horror-themed metal to electronic beats, with a glammed-up twist.

First off, a limited-run EP – dubbed Sex, Murder, Art Baby! – is made up of remixes done in collaboration with several horror-rock heavyweights – including Rob Zombie’s bassist Piggy D, Kaiser von Loopy from industrial-metal maniacs Hanzel Und Gretyl, Deathstars’ Jonas “Skinny Disco” Kangur, and the oh-so-psycho DJ Speedranch.

For double the destruction, Slade is also near completion of a full-length electro-metal album tentatively titled Dark Party, co-produced by Slade (who handles guitars and vocals) and acclaimed drum ‘n’ bass producer Shaun “Stakka” Morris (mixing and programming).

The remix EP is coming soon, and the album is scheduled for early next year. Start fearing for your sanity now!

New Discovery Refers to Christ as the 'Magician'

A team of scientists led by renowned French marine archaeologist Franck Goddio recently announced that they have found a bowl, dating to between the late 2nd century B.C. and the early 1st century A.D., that is engraved with what they believe could be the world's first known reference to Christ

The full engraving on the bowl reads, "DIA CHRSTOU O GOISTAIS," which has been interpreted by the excavation team to mean either, "by Christ the magician" or, "the magician by Christ."

"It could very well be a reference to Jesus Christ, in that he was once the primary exponent of white magic," Goddio, co-founder of the Oxford Center of Maritime Archaeology, said
