I have just finished watching the trailers to this movie. The trailers are truly spell bounding. If the movie is 50% as good as the trailers, this film will be well worth the wait to watch.

Harry Bates was the author who wrote the short story that resulted with the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" movie being made.

Most of Faulkner's works are set in his native state of Mississippi, and he is considered one of the most important "Southern writers," along with Mark Twain, Flannery O'Connor, Eudora Welty, and Tennessee Williams.
