SWARA, a voluntary non profit organization has a glorious past history. The organization is dedicated and committed to work at the grass root levels. Swara provides diversified community development work, with its associate beginning their work from from schooling and college days and continuing after starting professional work. Many of our workers are Professor, Computer Engineer, Teacher and Social worker but what binds them all is the common purpose of working with the communities under the banner of SWARA.

SARC - an agency for social development

Social Action for Rural Community a grassroots non-profit organisation, evolved in the year 1996 in a tribal village of Budulapali in Kuchinda Block of Sambalpur District. It works for the socio-economic upliftment of tribal and rural people.

SARC is committed to be a transparent and competent social development agency with participatory Rural Appraisal Approach initiated from grassroots level. With the help of committed, sincere and experienced volunteers, it has expanded its activities in 126 villages spreading over 6 Blocks namely, Rengali, Jujumura, Dhankauda, Kuchinda, Jamankira of Sambalpur Districts and Kulabira Block of Jharsuguda District, within a span of a decade.

Every day confirms my opinion on the superiority of a vicious life - and if Virtue is not its own reward I don't know any other stipend annexed to it.

We are a team of born again Christians. We live in rural, urban and semi-urban area of Koraput district of Orissa, India.

Presently, we are providing possible assistance to the poorest of poor preachers and pastors who are in His vineyard and even in socio-economic upliftment of underprivileged believers and non-believers in the operational area. We are dedicated to support the poor students in financial supports for their higher studies. We also provide assistance to widow centers, orphanage and old age home health care facility. We help the poor in income generation activities, protect them from human rights violation and provide basic education facility and knowledge for modern agriculture and spiritual nourishment.

SAPID has a strong core group of workers as well as volunteers who are dedicated towards the fulfillment of the objectives of the NGO.

Women empowerment through their active participation is the present focus of this NGO. It believes that if local facilities and people are mobilised for their own development, real development can be achieved in a sustainable manner. The history of “The Humanity” dates back to 1992, when a group of students involved in progressive students’ politics, after completion of their post graduation from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar decided to carryout social development activities in rural areas for the socio-economic upliftment of downtrodden masses. Few issues that influenced these youths to take such steps were: abject poverty especially in Western Orissa, Tribal Districts and among the Dalit and Backward Caste Communities in Coastal Orissa, child selling, starvation deaths, hooch tragedy in Cuttack that claimed more than 400 lives and fishermen’s movement in Chilika to protect their lives, livelihoods and environment and above all rampant corruption and bad governance during that time.

“DAYANIDHI SEVA ANUSTHAN (D.S.A.)” was started on 4th April 2000 on the British Ceremonial day of the Great Freedom Fighter, Father of the Indian Constitution and receiver of Bharat Ratna, Dr. Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar. DSA is sincerely and uncompromisingly committed to the development of the youth. It was formed on 14th April 2000 and was Registered on 6th August 2002. The Administrative office of this youth betterment organization runs at Dayanidhi junction, P.O. Bhawanipatna, Dist. Kalahandi, of state Orissa.

Today, poverty has not only become acute but chronic. The youth of the villages are burdened and ignored by the people of the high class society. So DSA was started to ensure economic and social development of the rural youth.

The organization was formally established in the year 1997. It has been working in Polasara block since its inception. The functionaries of ODISHA are trained and come from different Resource Agencies like CYSD, OVHA, CHILDLINE FOUNDATION, CACL, ODMM, CDMU, VYK(VISWA YUBA KENDRA AND NYK(Nehru Yuba Kendra). With enhanced capacity they are able to make base and strong rapport in 5-Gram Panchayats of Polasara block. ODISHA works in the remote, inaccessible part of these Gram Panchayats.
