Pastor's Review of Iron Man:

The first thing you have to understand about the movie, "Iron Man," is that it is based on a super hero comic book series. For those of you who are not aware, super hero comic books are cartoon-style magazines read by effeminate young boys who don't play sports. I'm going to put it bluntly - and ladies, close your ears now, or ask your husband later - comic book readers are given toward a lifestyle of masturbation directed toward men wearing leotards. Thankfully, in a civilized society, these little perverts are not able to fulfill their disgusting fantasies in our school gymnasiums unless, of course, they are attending school in England, where boys learn to prance about like homosexuals in the first grade! In God's Country, America, if a sissy hankers toward a mastrabatorial fantasy in the school gym, God willing, there will be a True Christian™ jock, on hand to beat the devil out of them.

Al-Dossary has become a pro at pushing against the boundaries of acceptable behavior for Saudi women. Not yet 40, she runs Saudi Arabia's largest scrap-metal business, $500 million-plus Al-Sale Trading and Contracting Company, and even though she didn't win the chamber of commerce seat after a campaign for it that earned her the attention of the bearded bloggers, she's leading a pack of women who are controlling more of the nation's wealth, and increasingly moving into positions of power.

Today, women constitute about 55 percent of the kingdom's college graduates. They own 10 percent of the country's real estate, one-third of the brokerage accounts, and about 40 percent of the country's family-run companies (albeit mostly as silent partners), according to a recent report from the Economist Intelligence Unit. The E.I.U. further estimates that Saudi women have about $12 billion in cash, with three-quarters of it sitting in banks, much of it from inheritances.

Middle class relaxing with marijuana

A variety of middle-class people are making a conscious but careful choice to use marijuana to enhance their leisure activities, a University of Alberta study shows.

A qualitative study of 41 Canadians surveyed in 2005-06 by U of A researchers showed that there is no such thing as a ‘typical’ marijuana user, but that people of all ages are selectively lighting up the drug as a way to enhance activities ranging from watching television and playing sports to having sex, painting or writing.

They were predominantly middle class and worked in the retail and service industries, in communications, as white-collar employees, or as health-care and social workers.

“This study indicates that people who use marijuana are no more a criminal threat to society than are alcohol and cigarette users.

Something's wrong with the Republican logo. The stars are upside down. Five-sided stars that point upwards—like those on the Democratic donkey and the American flag—traditionally symbolize the forces of good. An overturned pentagram, however, represents the goat's head of Satan and the forces of evil—and there are three on the Republican's elephant.

The GOP's stars weren't always upside down; some say the change occurred around 2000. When I called up the RNC to ask about the logo's history, staffers invariably said, "we'll have to get back to you on that" and never did. "Huh, that's interesting," said one, who clearly hadn't noticed Satan hiding in plain view.

Besides like-minded rants that the design is a huge slap in the Grand Old Party's face, some online chat-room goers speculated that the inverted stars are linked to secret society symbolism.

A Hillary Clinton website featured a photo of an American flag with upside down pentagrams at the time of the New Hampshire primary.

Archbishop Earl Paulk Pleads Guilty

The felony perjury charge against Paulk stems from a civil lawsuit against him, his brother Don and the church by former church employee, Mona Brewer. The lawsuit alleges that Earl Paulk manipulated Brewer into an affair from 1989 to 2003 by telling her it was her only path to salvation.

In a 2006 deposition for the lawsuit, the archbishop said under oath that the only woman he had ever had sex with outside of his marriage was Brewer.

But the results of a court-ordered paternity test revealed in October that Paulk is the biological father of his brother's son, D.E. Paulk, who is now head pastor at the church. As part of Brewer's lawsuit, eight women have given sworn depositions that they were coerced into sexual relationships with Earl Paulk.

Back in the 1980s Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan repeatedly complained that Ronald Reagan was running up the national debt in order to bankrupt the USA so that the Federal government could no longer afford any of its social programs, from Aid to Families with Dependent Children to Social Security to Medicare to veterans' benefits. He was right, but hardly anyone listened.

The Republicans are still trying to bankrupt the Federal government and they're still trying to eliminate every Federal social program, not only the remnants of FDR's New Deal but even going back to Teddy Roosevelt's conservationist programs.

Now, after 18 years of huge Republican deficits and Republican recessions, the National Debt has increased from $937 Billion -- LESS than $1 Trillion -- when Ronald Reagan took office to OVER $8.5 TRILLION !!! We will be paying off the debt added by Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush for the next 100 years and more!

Societies worse off 'when they have God on their side'

RELIGIOUS belief can cause damage to a society, contributing towards high murder rates, abortion, sexual promiscuity and suicide, according to research published today.

According to the study, belief in and worship of God are not only unnecessary for a healthy society but may actually contribute to social problems.

The study counters the view of believers that religion is necessary to provide the moral and ethical foundations of a healthy society.

It compares the social peformance of relatively secular countries, such as Britain, with the US, where the majority believes in a creator rather than the theory of evolution. Many conservative evangelicals in the US consider Darwinism to be a social evil, believing that it inspires atheism and amorality.

New Study Show Abstinence Programs Not Working

Sex abstinence programmes do not stop risky sexual behaviour or help in the prevention of unwanted pregnancy, a research team has concluded.

The Oxford University team reviewed 13 US trials involving over 15,000 people aged 10 to 21.

They found abstinence programmes had no negative or positive impact on the rates of sex infections or unprotected sex, the British Medical Journal said.

Researchers found none of the abstinence-only programmes had an impact on the age at which individuals lost their virginity, whether they had unprotected sex, the number of sexual partners, the rates of sexually transmitted diseases or the number of pregnancies.

"Young people need to know that they can say no to sex, just as they need to know how to protect themselves from pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections if they decide that a sexual relationship is right for them.

abstinence-only programmes don't work because they provide no safety net for those young people who do have a sexual relationship
