GLADSTONE, Ore. - Authorities say a teenager from a faith-healing family died from an illness that could have been easily treated, just a few months after a toddler cousin of his died in a case that has led to criminal charges.

The first thing you have to understand about the movie, "Iron Man," is that
it is based on a super hero comic book series. For those of you who are not
aware, super hero comic books are cartoon-style magazines read by effeminate
	young boys who
	don't play
sports. I'm going to put it bluntly - and ladies, close your ears now,
or ask your husband later - comic book readers are given toward a lifestyle
of masturbation directed toward men wearing leotards. Thankfully, in a
civilized society, these little perverts are not able to fulfill their
disgusting fantasies in our school gymnasiums unless, of course, they are
attending school in England, where boys learn to prance about like
homosexuals in the first grade! In God's Country, America, if a sissy
hankers toward a mastrabatorial fantasy in the school gym, God willing,
there will be a True Christian™ jock, on hand to beat the devil out of them.

Tags: christian, fundamentalism, religion, landover, stupid people, bible, iron man

<clipSource>http://www.landoverbaptist.org/2008/may/ironman.html</clipSource>

Thomas Jefferson on Christianity and Religion

clipped by: AcesLucky
clipper's remarks: Thoughts of another founding father.

Clip Source: www.nobeliefs.com

Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common
  law.

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10,
  1814

What is it men cannot be made to believe!

-Thomas Jefferson to Richard Henry Lee, April 22, 1786. (on
the British regarding America, but quoted here for its universal
  appeal.)

In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile
to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting
his abuses in return for protection to his own.

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Horatio G. Spafford, March 17,
  1814

Man once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against
absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without rudder,
is the sport of every wind.

By David Berlinski

There is actually very little that is new in the so-called new atheism, whose claim to be based on science is as dubious today as it has ever been. A critique of the contemporary assault on religion is therefore much needed, and in The Devil’s Delusion, David Berlinski gives us a polemic that is powerful, erudite and often savagely funny. Berlinski - a mathematician and well-known critic of evolutionary theory, though not a proponent of “intelligent design” - has two targets in his sights: the conventional belief that religious thought is intrinsically superstitious and the materialist philosophy that Dawkins and his fellow “brights” - as members of the atheist community fondly describe themselves - mistakenly identify with science.
By many measures, the Bush administration has been bad for civil liberties.
Yet the past seven years have been particularly good for the American Civil Liberties Union.
